Work at Concorde Inn KLIA

On 24th of March, I woke up at 7am sharp and get myself ready. Usually I won't get up on 7am sharp because of my habit of laying on bed until 7.15am, I'm a lazy-bone though, hah! That day I'll be working around KLIA for 3 days, which was something very new & excited to me, and this is a great oppurtunity for me to gain further experience on auditing.

I travelled alone to Concorde Inn alone though, since I had some monkey-work to be done at my office before I went there. I reached KLIA and started to look around, it was like I'm going for travel and will be back in Malaysia for a long time, but I'm not going anywhere though, I just came here to work that's all. I found my way to the shuttle bus to Concorde Inn at Sepang, and I took a ride to the inn, that's when I met up with my boss and my collegues there.

We're auditing the accounts of Concorde Inn after a wonderful lunch. I'm in charge of the account payable, hence my job was to check the balance of the amount due and make sure they paid for it, as well as the balance from the system should be the same with the payable's report. Anything which was unusual will be questioned, I think I made that person's life miserable by asking tons of question, but it's part of my job anyway.

It's hectic when we worked, but of course we didn't forget to enjoy ourselves after work. We went over to the coffee shop called "Melting Pot" for dinner. There was entertainment too, a band that played with thier guitar and sang while we're enjoying our meal. I loved how they sang 听海, it's very beautifully sang, kinda envy on how they performed with their guitar though.

I really had a great time, but I missed home after the third day. Now I'm home, felt great but tired. Wish that I have another opportunity to work like this.

My result...why??

16th of March is the day where all Tarcians are waiting for - the release of the current semester's result. I,too was really nervous about it,but I expect myself to pass all of them since I put in really much effort, but things ain't turned out to be what I wanted...

While clicking into the TARC website, I'm really nervous until my whole body is shaking, I can't tell whether is the malfunction of my nerve system or the below 10 degree celcius chill air made me trembled, I was in the office, mind you. When I looked at my result, the first thought in my mind was "Shit!! Son of a bxxx, fail?!?" Yes...two subjects didn't pass, Perfromance Management and Taxation, I really can't believe I failed!!

Still, I can't deny the truth and I must face it. Although I'm able to resit those papers, and I can proceed to year two as well, but come to think of it...I studied until late at night, I did and understand most of the tutorials, I even went to college just to have a tranquil study area, and what did I got huh? Fail units!! Damn!!

Hah...enough of my aggresiveness here, it won't help much anyway, the only solution is to study and prepare for the resit loh...Anyhow, failure is the beginning of success, I must be able to cope with this and stand up again, since I don't wan't to fail my duty as student.

A wallet from Botswana

I think I may made you guys bored about my own story, well this time let me tell something that happened when I went for my haircut nearby.

I was withdrawing some money from an ATM in Carrefour, when I happenly saw a black wallet just above the machine. Curiously, I picked it and scrutinised what might have inside. Surprisingly, the owner of the wallet is not from local, but from Botswana, a landlocked country in Southern Africa. His immigration card is inside though, so it is quite cumbersome for him when he lost it. I really have the intention to return it to him, but I just don't know how in the world I should do that.

I continued to examined the content inside the wallet. There's RM20 inside, but I ignored it, it doesn't interested me anyway. Then I found a guide to accomplish my "mission", a name card! It's not his name card though, it's a card from university located nearby. I called over and told the receptionist about the wallet I had in my hand now. The receptionist was grateful for what I've done, and enquired whether I'm convinient to return it. I told them I'll do that on Monday since I'm not that convinient.

You may think I'm a busybody, but I just can't let him ran into trouble for his missing wallet, especially his immigration card. If he lost it, that'll mean that he's an unlawful immigration, and that could meant trouble to him. Well finally, I wan't to say that don't be greedy, it gives you the benefits, but in the same time you're causing trouble to the others, remember that.
